Hyderabad: Reacting to the Nanded Municipal Corporation election results, Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee (GHCC) Minorities Department Chairman Shaikh Abdullah Sohail, said that Congress has made BJP, MIM and Shiv Sena to bite the dust. After Bihar and Uttar Pradesh Owaisi brothers were forced to do ‘Ghar Wapsi’ from Nanded.
Victory celebrations were held at Gandhi Bhawan as Congress swept civic polls with 69 seats.
Mr. Sohail thanked Nanded people in general and Muslims in particular and said that people have boycotted communal parties and moved positively towards restoration of secularism.
He claimed that since Narendra Modi became prime minister, communalism has been promoted in the country. Divergence is created in the country in the name of cow slaughter and love jihad. Minorities, Dalits and tribal are attacked while MIM leaders remain mute spectators.
He pointed out that the downfall of BJP and other communal forces was visible since the victory of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s political advisor Ahmed Patel, on Gujarat Rajya Sabha seat.
