Hyderabad: Bihar flood victims prayed for Hyderabadis, managements of Siasat and Faiz-e-Aam, for helping them in times of need. At least 17 district of Bihar were affected by recent floods. According to official figures 514 people died, unofficial sources revealed that around 4000 people were washed away in the floods. Several localities were devastated. Seemanchal and other Muslim majority areas were badly affected.
In the first phase Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust sent medicines, warm beddings and clothes worth 5 lakhs. Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust has sent 40 ton relief material including, medicines, blankets, clothes, food items etc. so far, which was distributed among 8000 victims.
It must not be out of place to mention here that a team led by Managing editor Siasat, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan visited affected areas and took stock of the situation and announced to open schools and centres of vocational courses for woman and girls, in Muslim predominant areas. It must be noted that non-Muslim cloth traders also took part in the virtuous deed and generously donated expensive clothes.
