Bihar death toll rises to 514; Siasat, Faiz-e-Aam Trust announce 5 lakh relief

Hyderabad: Though the flood situation is gradually improving in Bihar as water levels in all major rivers going down, the death toll has reached to 514 so far. However according to unofficial sources 4000 deaths have occurred due to floods so far.

Over 2 Cr people have been affected in 19 districts of the state. Most of the places were inundated in water. Heartrending scenes of bodies floating on roads were witnessed. The flood has affected residents of Bihar irrespective of religion.

Worried over the destruction caused by the flood in Bihar, Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust have decided to send relief of Rs. 5 lakh as primary aid.

According to Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and Secretary Faiz-e-Aam Trust Mr. Iftekhar Husain, relief work is done by Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust especially in backward areas and as part of rehabilitation, professional training is being provided to women.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and Mr. Iftekhar Husain have appealed readers of Siasat to help Bihar flood victims generously.
