Mumbai, May 11: Actor Amrita Rao, who will be back on the big screen after a gap of two years with Rajshri Productions’ ‘Love You Mr Kalakaar’, says that banners play an important part in deciding a film’s fate.
“Today, for a film to be a hit, besides the script, banner is the most important factor. Promotions have become essential today,” Amrita told PTI in an interview.
For Amrita, films by reputed banners have worked, such as Shah Rukh Khan-produced ‘Main Hoon Na’, Shyam Benegal’s ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’, Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Vivah’ and the Taurani’s ‘Ishq Vishk’.
About the upcoming film, Amrita said, “It is a romantic-comedy, a sensitive love story, drama and romance.
This is my first rom-com. This is something new for me. It is a situational comedy not slapstick.
