Mumbai: AAP leader, Kumar Vishwas has been issued a legal notice by Amitabh Bachchan for copyright violation of his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poem ‘Nirman’.
Vishwas had recorded a song ‘Need Ka Nirman’ using lyrics from Harivansh Rai Bachchan and uploaded it on YouTube on 8 July. The served notice has asked him to “delete the poem of Harivansh Rai Bachchan from YouTube channel and to return the amount of money earned by it,” reports Janta ka Reporter.
Kumar Vishwas was asked to immediately take down the video failing which Bachchan’s lawyers would be taking legal action.
Bachchan’s lawyers said the video is infringing copyright. They said Kumar’s recitation is likely to mislead the public-at-large about its source.
