Big B praises Pak’s mature game in T20 World Cup

Mumbai, June 22:Showing true sportsman spirit, noted Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan congratulated Pakistan’s victory in the T20 World Cup and termed it as a most excellent display of skill on the cricket field. Disappointed after India was knocked out of the race for the title, the veteran superstar termed the entry of the two neighbouring counteries — Sri Lanka and Pakistan — in the final as amazing, and asserted that Pakistan played a well planned and mature game.

”Pakistan has won the World Cup T20 in a most excellent display of skill on the cricket field. A well planned and mature game from them, executed with finesse and finality. Congratulations to them!! Poetic or divine justice has prevailed too as I had commented yesterday. Quite remarkable their achievement!!,” the Big B wrote in his blog last evening. Bachchan said the Sri Lankan squad was attacked by terrorists during a tour on Pakistani soil and was forced to abandon the tour while the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided not to made Pakistan a venue for the upcoming 2011 World Cup and also excluded them from the lucrative IPL2 tournament.

”Both teams faced tough teams recently and it did not matter who wins as the eventual winner will be the sport,” he added.
