Mumbai, September 15: Bollywood today hailed the megastar Amitabh Bachchan for bagging the National award for the best actor saying he deserved it the most, even as the actor expressed happiness for bagging the honour for the fourth time.
Bachchan had been nominated as the best actor for his portrayal of a progeria hit 12-year-old boy in R Balki’s movie “Paa”.
Even as the Big B himself expressed happiness for bagging the National award for the fourth time saying that his role in “Paa” was the most challenging for him, the film fraternity said the 67-year-old legend deserved the award the most.
Bachchan said he was happy for everyone associated with the film especially the director R Balki.
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said the honour for Big B was “most deserving” while actress Bipasha Basu described it as the “most deserving national award for Paa”.
