In the wake of General Elections 2014 held for 10 Telangana districts yesterday, bifurcation process is going at jet speed in Secretariat. The works related to construction of another main gate meant for Telangana Secretariat are going on fast pace and a school building near helipad on the premises being removed.
The new gate on completion is likely to be allotted for Telangana State and the existing gate is to be given to Andhra Pradesh. As only 15 days are left for the results to be announced on May 16, works of new main gate are being completed with much speed. After the results two governments for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will start functioning from June 2 when “Appointed Day” begins. On the other hand, works pertaining to Seemandhra Chief Minister’s office in South H block are also going on fast pace. While A, B, C and D blocks were allotted to Telangana Secretariat, South H, North H, J, K and L blocks were given to Seemandhra Secretariat.
It may be noted that Governor ESL Narasimhan asked Chief Secretary PK Mohanty to complete the bifurcation process at the earliest. The Government is understood to have submitted its report to the Center on hassle-free distribution of officials and staff, bifurcation of files, assets, liabilities, buildings and related material.
