(Siasat News)A meeting of the Congress M.P’s representing Seema Andhra Region was held at the residence of Mr. K.S.Rao, M.P. in Hyderabad.
A resolution was passed by these M.P.’s requesting Dr. Manmohan Singh not to bifurcate A.P. State into Telangana and Andhra Regions.
These M.P’s have also decided to meet Ms. Sonia Gandhi and the members of core committee for making a representation for not dividing the state.
After the meeting, talking to journalists, Mr. K.S.Rao told that the M.P’s of Seema Andhra are against the bifurcation of the state. He told that before the end of Parliament session, a delegation of Congress M.P’s from Seema Andhra Region will meet the Central leaders and would tell them that the majority of the people are against bifurcation of the State. They will present a memorandum to Ms. Sonia Gandhi and other leaders and emphasize them to put an end to the Telangana issue once for all.
He told that the people of Andhra are also not in favor of bifurcation of the State. The election results of Parkal Assembly Constituency are a testimony to it wherein 33% of the voters voted against the formation of Telangana
