Jammu, January 09: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said attempts by certain politicians to create fissures in the society for vote bank politics would not succeed as people were wise enough to read between the lines.
“We reject the attempts of certain politicians to divide society in the name of region, religion, creed and caste for vote bank politics. They would not succeed as people in J&K are wise enough to read between the lines “, Omar said addressing his party workers here.
He also asked people to exhibit their earnest faith in secular democratic principles and jointly foil such attempts by a section of politicians.
He asked the party rank and file to stay connected with people and take up redressal of their grievances with the government.
