Medak, July 25: Uneasiness prevails among local Muslim youth and concerned family members regarding encroachment by a non Muslim businessman upon old graveyard situated near entrance gate of Medak town. This graveyard is located on the roadside of Malekam board in Medak hence non Muslim businessmen eye upon the left over land of the graveyard and want to grab the land by hook or by crook.
They removed the huts and small shops from the land and cleaned it on which some Muslim youth expressed anger and tried to safeguard the land. Police intervened and called the people of both the communities and scrutinized the property documents of one Ellayaa who wants to construct two shops grabbing the land of the graveyard situated road side. It is said that Ellayya has allegedly made connivance with some Muslim leaders. This news has sparked anger among Muslim youth.
On one side Ellayya insists to construct shops while Muslim youth on the other side are taking measures to safeguard the graveyard land. The need of the hour is that police and authorities of Muslim organizations should come forward and resolve the matter so that the situation may not become volatile.
