Bid for Dharavi development today

Mumbai, July 30: Several Companies today will make bids for developing the Asia’s biggest Dharavi as there is a plan of developing 535 acre of slum area under a development project.

According to the reports, the area will be developed as Global Financial Centre. The development is likely to extend benefits to 85,000 slum dwellers.

For the development of Dharavi, several companies will make bids. The highest bid might be worth Rs 16,000 crore.

The project was to be implemented in 2007. But it was postponed after it landed into controversy.
