New Delhi, December 23: Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, who is on a six-day visit to India, was on Tuesday accorded a ceremonial reception at the forecourt of the Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
Speaking on the ocassion the King said that India and Bhutan have traditionally very strong relations.
The King will also meet the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh this afternoon.
Several agreements and MoUs to enhance cooperation in hydropower, civil aviation and health sectors are expected to be signed.
He also held discussions with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on issues of mutual interest.
Speaking on the ocassion the King said that India and Bhutan have traditionally very strong relations.
Later, the visiting dignitary went to Rajghat to pay his tributes to the father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
