Bhopal: A shameful incident of a minor rape victim from Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri District was reportedly thrown into well for resisting a second rape.
The victim who was alone in her home was raped by the accused Jitendra Jatav who barged into the house. But when the accused assaulted her for the second time she resisted the attempt and was thrown into the dry well where she sustained several injuries.
The victim was rescued by her parents when passersby heard her cries for help, News18 reported. The victim is now admitted to a local hospital.
Police have registered a case against Jatav under sections of Prevention of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO).
“We have launched a manhunt and he will be arrested soon,” Sub Divisional Officer of Police Kolaras Sujit Bhadauria said Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district.
