BHEL to build 2 power plants in Telangana

Public sector undertaking Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) will be construcing two thermal power generating stations for the Telangana State Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) in the next three year.

The TS government would be entering into a MoU with Bhel for the execution of 800-Mw Kothagudem and 1,080-Mw Manuguru thermal power plants.

A proposal to this effect was made after the Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL B.P.Rao, along with his other colleagues, called on the Chief Minster K.Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday who formally agreed to the proposal.

Chief Minster K.Chandrasekhar Rao wanted the projects to be executed within three years. The BHEL chief Mr. B.P Rao assured Mr. KCR that the 4×270-Mw Manuguru project would be executed in two years, whereas the Kothegudem unit would complete within the next three years, the release stated.
