BHEL Bhopal unit holds vendors meet

Bhopal; November 16:(Pervez Bari): M K Dube, Executive Director, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit has impressed upon the vendors that as per current plans of Government, new power generation capacities are to be continuously added and there will be tremendous growth potential in this field.

Dube, who chaired a vendor meet organized by the Materials Management Department of BHEL Bhopal unit on Friday at IFX conference hall, further said that vendors are not just supplier of goods but are also stakeholders of BHEL. Growth of BHEL will directly increase the growth of ancillaries and therefore vendors should gear up to meet excess demand and absorb new technologies to give a quality product in an agreed time. He thanked vendors for their continuous support.

Dilip Sahi, GM (CC, CMG, CDC), P. Singhal, GM (MM), V Ravindran, GM (Finance), R K Girdonia, GM (HR) other Senior Executives of BHEL Bhopal, attended the meet. Around 50 Industrialists from Govindpura, Habibganj and Mandideep participated in this meet.

Earlier, Singhal welcomed all representatives of industries. He said that such meet provides an opportunity for collective deliberations.

Mukesh Sachdev, vice-president, Govindpura industries association, Rakesh Agrawal, president, Habibganj Industries association and K. S. Bhasin, president, Mandideep Industries Association also attended the meet.

Status of issues raised by Industry representatives during last vendor meet was discussed and most of them have been implemented. Industry representatives expressed their views on various issues like training on safety and LEAN manufacturing and thanked BHEL for making information available online pertaining to their payments, enquiries, PMIRs, etc. They generally expressed satisfaction on their working relationship with BHEL.
