Bhavani Nagar Case: former MP Madhu records statement, alleges MIM MLA for attack

Hyderabad: Former CPM MP, Mr. Madhu recorded his statement in the court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Nampally in connection with Bhavani Nagar Attack Case.

It may be mentioned that police had submitted chargesheet in the court in connection with the attack on Mr. Madhu which took place 6 years back. The hearing of the case was going on in the court but the police did not keep Mr. Madhu informed. The judge got irritated on police and passed orders for recording the statement of Mr. Madhu.

Mr. Madhu in his statement said that in February 2012 when he went to the house of Mohammed Akheel who had committed suicide vexed with the harassment of police, at that time, MIM MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Mr. Wajahat Ali Khan, Corporator of Chanchalam and 10 MIM activists attacked him. He was injured in this attack. Mr. Madhu also informed the court that police had harassed Mohammed Akheel as a result of which he committed suicide by hanging himself.

Mr. Madhu told the court that right from the beginning, the attitude of the police is not appropriate. Police is acting in favour of the accused.

After Mr. Madhu recorded his statement, defence lawyer, Mr. M A Azeem questioned him. Earlier, the police had registered a case against MIM MLA and other activists under various sections of IPC.
