Congress MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has alleged that the State government was hatching a conspiracy to delay the implementation of the SC, ST Sub-Plan in the name of amendments to the Act.
Speaking to the media after the SC Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari here on Friday, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka opined that there was no need to bring a new Act and made it clear that the Congress would not accept if the TRS government brings a new Act on SC, ST Sub-Plan. He said the change of name was enough and the name should be SC Special Development Fund.
It was atrocious on the part of the TRS government as it has not yet prepared rules, he said and demanded that the government spend the allocated funds, which remained unspent for the last three years, meant to SC, ST Sub-Plan immediately. (NSS)
