Hyderabad, February 08: Police today reportedly seized a couple of vehicles and some incriminating documents of Bhanu Kiran, the prime suspect in the killing of faction leader G Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddelacheruvu Suri in the city a few days back. Sources said TDP leader from Vijayawada, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, was also questioned by CCS sleuths for nearly two hours following allegations of his involvement in Suri’s killing.
The seizures were made following questioning of Manmohan Singh, the gunman of Bhanu Kiran, and Subbaiah, a close associate of Bhanu Kiran, by the Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths. Manmohan Singh and Subbaiah were arrested a couple of days back by the city police for their alleged involvement in Suri’s killing. The duo were questioned by police after a court gave them five-day custody for interrogation.
According to sources, CCS sleuths today recovered a Scorpio vehicle and a two-wheeler belonging to Bhanu, apart from some other documents. Police officials said the Scorpio was seized from Lingampally and the bike from Kondapur. The bike is reportedly in the name of Bhanu’s associate, Loknath.
Meanwhile, Manmohan Singh and Subbaiah were today produced before a court and sent to judicial remand after their police custody period came to an end.
