New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacted to Shiv Sena’s demand for changes in CAB. Owaisi labeled Sena’s stand as ‘Bhangra Politics’.
Owaisi also termed Sena’s stand as ‘politics of opportunism’ as the party supported the CAB in Lok Sabha on Monday but later on demanded two conditions ahead of the Rajya Sabha vote.
“They write secular in common minimum program but this bill is against secularism and Article 14. It is politics of opportunism,” said Owaisi.
On December 09, Owaisi tore a copy of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in Lok Sabha. Before tearing up the copy of the CAB, he said, “This is going to be another partition. This bill is against the Constitution of India and disrespect to our freedom fighters. I tear the bill. It is trying to divide our country.”
