Beware of 1956 situation, Harish cautions voters

Hyderabad: Caretaker Minister T Harish Rao today said Telangana State which was achieved following sacrifices and long drawn struggle, was in danger of repeat of 1956 situation of forcible merger of Telangana into Andhra.

The Telangana leaders, who supported the Andhra leaders for the posts are now hatching a new conspiracy by forging an alliance and TD Chief N Chandrababu was trying to has a say in the State, he alleged. Keeping this in view, the voters of the State should think wisely and vote for the ruling party for welfare or will face crises if voted for the kutami of the Opposition parties in the elections.

Harish Rao appealed to the people of Telangana to remain alert with the unholy alliance of the Opposition parties hatching a conspiracy against the State in the name of the elections. “Do not vote for the Congress, TDP and its allies as the unholy kutami was hatching a fresh sabotage against our State”, he said while talking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here. He lashed out the TD chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for writing against the statehood and later opposing the irrigation projects. In the name of the polls anti-Telangana forces got together and Chandra babu is conspiring against the state he alleged. Only the Congress and TD are in fray and other allies like TJS and CPI are for name sake he said. The Minister also recalled that Naidu wrote a letter to then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh against the statehood which was also proved by the BJP at the Centre.
He slammed the congress for belittling itself by forging an impious alliance with its rival TD chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu is noted for writing several letters against the projects in Telangana to the Centre and now coming to seek votes without shame he said. When statehood was announced by the Centre, Naidu resorted to play a drama by declaring resignations from his ministerial colleagues.

The TD chief instead of developing his AP, has been meddling in Telangana affairs he charged. He also pointed out that Naidu has wrote letters against the permission for Kaleshwaram project, Sitharam project, Palamur lift scheme and others. The elections are not simple that one party will come to power and other to opposition as several conspiracies and plots are involved for supremacy over Telangana by Chandrababu he warned. Dump the boat of Chandrababu coming frequently in the state development and teach him a fitting lesson he appealed.
