Better shun loose talk, Harish tells Congress leaders

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today accused the Congress party of filing wrong cases against the projects only to safeguard their party interests.

He was addressing a program at Siddipet after attending several developmental works. The Congress has already lost the confidence of the people and trying to hoodwink them for false publicity, he alleged. “Just for the sake of identity the Congress was resorting to mud-slinging on the government”, he fumed. The minister also expressed displeasure saying that the Congress lost its morale and moved courts by filing the cases in the name of dead persons. The Congress which failed to complete the projects during its regime was now unable to digest development.

As the leaders of the Opposition, lack of content and any subject knowledge frequently disturbing the Assembly session, he alleged. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao aims to clear the tears of people distributing irrigation waters and overcome the problems. The Centre has given all permissions to Kaleshwaram project and the government will start the works to complete the project. This will give waters to several districts for irrigation and drinking purpose, the minister said. It is better if the Congress stop its gimmicks as the people are unready to believe in them, he suggested. (NSS)
