Best facilities to the Haj pilgrims this year: Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has said the State government would leave no stone unturned to provide best facilities to the Haj pilgrims this year.

Speaking at the first Haj Orientation Training camp held at Old Malakpet here today, Mahmood Ali said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao wanted best arrangements for the Haj pilgrims as the State Government earmarked Rs. three crore for Haj Committee. He said Haj journey was hard in the past and now it has become easy now because of the State government’s measures. He requested the pilgrims to pray for the development of the country, the State and the community.

MIM MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala exhorted the pilgrims to pray for peace, progress and prosperity of the nation, the State and the people. Chairman of Telangana State Haj Committee Mohammed Masiullah Khan, who presided over the meeting, said this year better arrangements would be made at the Haj Camp for departure of Haj pilgrims.
Telangana State Haj Committee EO Prof. S A Shukoor said the pilgrims should exhibit patience and resilience during Haj. He said the Telangana State Haj Committee had been making the best arrangements for the Haj pilgrims in the country. ‘This year, out of Haj quota of 1,25,000 for the country, Telangana State was allotted a quota of 4,066”, he said.

Moulana Abdul Rasheed Talha Nomani, Moulana Abbas Zaki and others highlighted the rituals and their significance. Members of the Haj Committee Mohammed Arifuddin and Abu Talha Mohammed Amjad Ali, Dr Aqeel Hashmi, M.A. Shafee and Abdul Khader and Dr Aqeel Hashmi and others were present. A large number of women pilgrims also attended the Training Camp where separate arrangements were made for them. (NSS)
