Mumbai, March 14: A Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) bus hit a Metro pillar at Andheri (E) on Saturday. Nobody was injured in the incident, the police said.
“The bus driver, A. Kadam (37) was trying to avoid hitting an autorickshaw and applied the brakes. But the brakes failed. He saw 30 autorickshaws standing nearby and to avoid them steered towards the pillar,” said a BEST official, requesting anonymity. The passengers only felt a jerk, the police said.
