Bernard Tomic issues apology post Miami hotel arrest

London, July 18 (ANI): Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic has issued an apology after he was charged with resisting arrest and trespassing by the Miami Beach Police.

The 22-year old player was arrested by the police after he refused to turn down the volume at a hotel penthouse party on Wednesday.

He was also accused of refusing to leave his room after the alleged altercation with the hotel staff and police.

Tomic apologised to a local television channel, saying that he was sorry for the disturbance that he had caused, the BBC reported.

He also said that it was definitely his fault, adding that he was asleep on several occasions when they complained at first but it was just a noise complaint.

According to the arrest affidavit, witnesses said that the two -time ATP Tour winner had pointed his finger aggressively towards the hotel security after several reports of a rough party in his room.

The affidavit also claimed that Tomic disobeyed the officers, both verbally and physically, when the police arrived and attempted to evict him. (ANI)
