Samastipur, October 13: A Block Education Officer was today arrested by Bihar Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe of Rs 800 from a woman teacher at his Adarsh Nagar residence in Bihar’s Samastipur town today, police sources said.
Acting on a complaint from the teacher of a state-run school here that the officer demanded bribe for updating her service book, the bureau sleuths raided the house of Upendra Choudhary and caught him red-handed while accepting the graft, sources said.
The official was being brought to Patna for production before a designated Vigilance court here, they said.
