Bengaluru: A software techie from Panta is reportedly missing in Bengaluru since Monday after he went on to meet a prospective buyer for his car sale.
Ajitabh Kumar, 29, was working with British Telecom. He left home around 6.30pm on Monday his friends said. According to his friends, Ajitabh had recently joined an MBA programme from IIM. He had listed his car on OLX sale for arranging the money for the course fees. Ajitabh’s friends suspect he left to meet the buyer, adding that his last seen on WhatsApp was around 7.10pm on Monday and since then nobody could reach him since then.
The techie was staying with his childhood friend Ravi in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area after he shifted to Bengaluru in 2010.
Ravi said, “He had got through an executive MBA program at IIM Kolkata, he had to pay around Rs. 5 Lakh by December 20 and we guess that’s why he had put up his car for sale, to fund his fee. When he left home he was in casual wear and didn’t tell anyone where he was going.”
The Police are now looking for any clues analyzing the CCTV footage from the area.
Ajitabh was last traced to Gunjur on the city outskirts before his cell switched off said the Police.
“We are investigating all angles, we have sought data from the online classified portal (OLX) as well. We have obtained his call record details as well,” said a police officer connected with the investigation reported NDTV.
Gathering information details of communications between people online or WhatsApp is extremely difficult and time-consuming adds the Police.
