Bengaluru :A unique fest, billed as India’s first in business literature, will explore business storytelling through books, movies, blogs, tweets and social media posts here this week.
The Bangalore Business Literature Festival on October 31 will see all attendees, including business leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and students, engaging in conversations with over 30 leading Indian business book authors, editors, writers and publishers in an informal setting.
The theme of the fest is ‘Conversations with Authors’.
Experts will conduct workshops on how to publish a book;
how to self-publish; how to write business articles; and screenwriting for movies.
One would also get an opportunity to discover how top executives crunch literature on technology and business and work the magic to bring out the best results.
Prominent authors, speakers and editors on the guest list are Vinita Bali, former managing director of Britannia Industries; Subroto Bagchi, Chairman, Mindtree; columnist Aakar Patel and Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej among 25 others.
The sessions include “Books That Inspired Me. Books Every Entrepreneur & Professional Must Read” by Vinita Bali; “A Critique on Indian Business Writing Post Reforms – Their Contribution to Confusion or/& Clarity”; “Writings on Business & Technology – Insights & Experience into Their Interconnectedness”; “Writings on Scams & Corruption in Indian Business”; “The Fine Art of Unraveling the DNA of Indian Entrepreneurs”; and “Games Indians Play – A Peek Into India’s Business Culture”.
A number of workshops on topics like “Business Book Writing”, “Business Article Writing”, “Screenwriting: Learn to Write Movie Scripts from a Pro” and “How Can I Publish My Book?” will also be held.
