Kolkata, July 25: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today claimed that the Left Front government in West Bengal had a loan burden of Rs 192,000 crore which indicated “the sorry state of affairs of the economy”.
“The state was reeling under a loan burden of Rs 192,000 crore under the 33 years of CPI-M-led Left Front rule. This indicated the sorry state of affairs of the economy in the state under their rule. CPI-M has ruined the state,” she told reporters here.
The Railway Minister also accused the CPI-M of killing her party workers and then putting up posters blaming the Maoists for the crime.
Stating that she did not support killings by Maoists and was against the politics of blood, Mamata alleged that the CPI-M put the blame on Naxals after killing her party workers like what it did at Sankrail in West Midnapore district last night.
