Bengal: Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s statue demolished during Ram Navami

KOLKATA: A bust of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was allegedly demolished by miscerenats during violence following the Ram Navami processions in West Bengal.

The vandalism of statue of freedom fighter and India’s first Union Education Minister took place in in Kakinara in North 24-Parganas where a man sustained seriously injury in the violence and later passed away, reported India.com.

The incident was caught on camera and the video is going viral on social media platforms.

As per media reports, the number of casualties after violence has increased to three and more than 50 injured after sword-wielding right-wing supporters of BJP defied the West Bengal government’s ban on armed rallies on Ram Navami.
