Bem Bem Devi to lead Indian women soccer team

The All India Football Federation has appointed Bem Bem Devi as captain of the Indian women’s football team in the forthcoming SAFF’s Women Championship which kicks-off in Colombo on September 7, 2012. The final is slated to be played on September 16, 2012. The squad: Goalkeepers: Sita Sharma (Orissa), Aditi Chauhan (Delhi). Defenders: Ashem Romi Devi, Loitongbam Ashalata Devi, Kangujam Rebika Devi (all Manipur), Alochana Senapati (Orissa), Suprava Samal (Bihar), Tuli Goon (West Bengal). Midfielders: Yumnam Kamala Devi (Bihar), Supriya Routray, Lochana Munda (both Orissa), Yumlembam Premi Devi, Nameirakpam Montesori Chanu, Oinam Bembem Devi (all Manipur). Forwards: Irom Prameshwori Devi, Salam Rinaroy Devi (both Manipur), Raju Suganya (Tamil Nadu), Laishram Naobi Chanu, Pinky Bompal Magar, Sasmita Malik (both Bihar).
