Believing in Santa ‘marginal’: Trump to 7-yr-old child

Washington: US President Donald Trump is one such person who hogs the limelight with his strange decisions and uncanny views. On Christmas Eve, he once again ensured that he grabbed headlines while he, along with First Lady Melania Trump, was taking calls from children a day before the grand occasion.

In one such conversation, Trump was speaking to a seven-year-old named Collman Lloyd, where he asked whether the child believes in Santa Claus.

“Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?”, Trump told the child while chuckling. He further said, “You just go enjoy yourself.”

Seated in front of a crackling fire and between two Christmas trees, Trump wished the child a “Merry Christmas” and conveyed his regards to the kid’s family.

“Well, honey, happy Christmas, and you just take care of yourself and say hello to your family, okay? Say hello to everybody,” Trump was quoted by CNN as saying.

The call between Trump and Collman took place at around 6:30 pm (local time) on Monday, as the US President and his wife, spoke to children on separate phones at the White House.
