Begumpet wakf land: Dy. CM, Wakf Board chairman instructs officials to stop illegal constructions

Hyderabad: For the past 10-days illegal constructions were continuing on the wakf land at Begumpet. Despite several complaints, Wakf Board did not take any action.

Chairman of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem contacted Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Mr. Sandeep Shandilya and Joint Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim yesterday. He also requested the revenue officials to send a team to stop illegal constructions.

Chairman of Wakf Board sent CEO Mr. Mannan Farooqui and the Task Force Team. Mr. Farooqui got the construction of temporary sheds stopped. The inspector of Wakf Board made a complaint to police. Two persons were arrested and the lorries which were transporting construction materials were seized.

Dy. CM, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali instructed the revenue officials to cooperate with Wakf Board in dislodging the illegal possessions. The local residents expressed their apprehension that if Wakf Board does not succeed in dismantling all the sheds, they would become permanent.
