The efforts to ease traffic at the busiest areas Begumpet, Ameerpet, Balgampet, Sanathnagar and Balanagar seems to be rewarding as the Begumpet-Fatehnagar-Balkampet connectivity project is expected to be ready soon. According to authorities the RuB constructed between Begumpet and Balkampet will be inaugurated in the 1st or 2nd week of June.
AP government had sanctioned 42 crore for construction of Begumpet-Fatehnagar-Balkampet connectivity project in 2005. Apart from that South Centre Railway had sanctioned 13.36 crore for construction of Road Under Bridge connecting Begumpet and Balkampet. The construction work began in 2007. Late Dr. YS Rajshekhar Reddy laid the foundation of link road Begumpet-Fatehnagar. GHMC could not complete the work on this connectivity project while South Central Railway succeeded in construction of Road Under Bridge which is part of the Begumpet-Fatehnagar-Balkampet connectivity project. However GHMC officials to cover up their carelessness prefer to inaugurate Road Under Bridge instead of Begumpet-Fatehnagar link road.
