If Govt. of Telangana is serious, it should make arrangements to send Hajj pilgrims from Begumpet Airport which will save Rs. 750 for each pilgrim which he has to pay if he travels by Shamsabad Airport.
It may be noted that Begumpet Airport is in use for VIP flights. Since the flights of Hajj pilgrims are chartered, there should not be any objection for making this arrangement. This Airport offers better facilities than Shamsabad Airport which has no Aero Bridge for Hajj pilgrims.
The hajj pilgrims are transported to the Air Bus by transport vehicles. There will not be any need for organizing Hajj camps at Hajj House since Begumpet Airport has specious halls. It also has the place for parking 3000 vehicles. There is a place inside the Airport area at Begumpet to offer prayers.
The Hajj Committee has sent this proposal to the Govt. which is still lying in cold storage.
