Tension in the Campus, Students reportedly conducted Beef Festival in OU

Hyderabad: Unmindful of the court ban and in a tight security blanket against the beef festival, some student groups today conducted the beef festival at the Osmania University campus.

However tensions mounting every minute in the OU campus. Organizers of the beef festival confined their event to hostel rooms after police kept them away from the campus.

Police were trying to trace the person who uploaded the pictures of eating beef items out on What’sApp and other social media.

According to Sakshipost some unidentified source released the pictures of students eating beef. Police immediately swooped on the hostels.

Prof. PL Vishweshwara Rao and other faculty members of OU who were in support of the beef festival arrested by the police.

Eight organisers of the controversial ‘beef festival’ on Osmania University campus were detained while BJP MLA T Raja Singh, who was opposing the the event, was arrested here this morning, police said.
