Bedlam prevails in Assembly after CM makes remark on Naidu

Pandemoneum reigned supreme in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly today following a remark by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy against former Chief Minister N Chanderababu Naidu leading to TDP members rushing to the Speaker’s podium. Tempers ran high when Mr Reddy pointed out to Mr Naidu, during the discussion on motion of thanks to the Governor’s address that he too was involved in Emaar Properties Scam and would be sent to Chanchalguda Jail.

TDP members erupted instantaneously and rushed to the Speaker’s podium protesting against the remarks. Mr Reddy did not elaborate further on Mr Naidu’s involvement stating that the case was sub judice as it was in the court. Mr Naidu said the Chief Minister had no moral right to blackmail him and stated that he had served as Chief Minister for nine years and had emerged unscathed even though several several false cases were foisted against him and supervised by courts.UNI
