Chief custodian of Muslim personal law and the Shariat, has, for the first time, reached out directly to Muslim organizations, institutions and the imams of mosques in an appeal to rise against the Hindutva forces.
The Muslim personal law Board positions itself as a spokesperson of Muslim opinion in India.
In a letter sent to various organizations, Maulana Wali Rehmani, working general secretary of the Muslim personal law board, has asked the Muslims to catch hold of the teachings of ‘Islam’ and not to get deviated from the right path.
AIMPLB has also asked the Indian Muslims for a constant vigil against attacks on Islam’s teachings. “Muslims should always remain cautious as there are organizations that are attacking Islamic beliefs and trying to impose Brahmin dharma”. “Islam teachings are the only thing that provides solutions to all your problems.” he further said.
He has urged the imams to discuss the subject during Friday sermons, and bring awareness about teachings of Islam.
When asked how the letter will reach to the Muslims, Rahmani said “in order to create awareness we are expanding our area and including other Muslim organizations in our movement.
Rehmani has said in the letter, “Muslim must be aware of the ideology of Hindutva forces, and must research extensively before accepting any suggestions on changing their beliefs.
Maulana Rahmani alleged that government has been pushing activities like yoga only to hide its failures on poll promises such as controlling prices and retrieving black money stashed abroad.
Rehmani has also alleged that the celebration of the International Day of Yoga by the government on Sunday was part of a conspiracy to link the exercise to the RSS, since it was observed on the death anniversary of the Sangh’s first sarsanghchalak, K B Hedgewar.
