Hyderabad, November 23: In view of the new regulations of Central and State Governments many candidates who have passed B.com are likely to lose teaching jobs.
National Council for Teacher Education has laid down new conditions in 2010 for appointment as school assistants which deprives commerce graduates from teaching posts whereas State Govt. has permitted them to appear for B.Ed and TET.
These candidates are not being allowed to appear before District Selection Committees for appointments an school Assistants. In view of these contradictory policies, B.com graduates who have passed B.Ed are getting disappointed. Govt. is giving permission to private engineering colleges to fill up their seats. State Govt. had issued orders in 2009 making commerce graduates eligible to teach Social Studies. Teacher Education Council issued guidelines that only D.Ed. passed candidates are eligible for appointment to the posts of school Assistants with effect from 1-1-2010. In this way Commerce graduates have been deprived of both the Secondary Grade Teacher and school Assistant posts.
Commerce graduates were permitted to write paper II in the test to be held on 8-1-2012 but they have not been allowed to write DSC examination. These graduates alleged that Govt. is collecting money by allowing them admissions in private colleges of education only to fill up the vacant seats. These candidates requested the Govt. to permit them to write DSC Examination.
