BCCI slaps night curfew on team India

Mumbai, May 01: The Indian Premier League was about fun, frolic and also cricket.

The World Twenty20 will be only cricket. There won’t be any late-night parties in the West Indies.

At least not for the Indian team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has handed out a list of dos and don’ts for Mahendra Singh Dhoni & Co currently in the West Indies for the World Twenty20.

The BCCI has asked the team management to impose night curfew on the players. It means players will have to be back in the room by 9.30pm. Violation of the rule can lead to fine and subsequently, disciplinary action.

The players have also been told to follow the practice schedule strictly. Any player coming late for practice will have to face fine and disciplinary action. Besides, the team has been barred from accepting any gifts or offers of gifts from strangers. They have been told to first report to the team management about such offers.

The BCCI has also increased the daily Dearness Allowance for players from $75 to $100.
