Team India bowling coach Eric Simons has been asked by the BCCI to pack his bags and head home, thanks to India’s dismal performances in Tests in the recent past.
Simons` contract, which expires at the end of the tour, will not be renewed, ending a two-year long tenure with the Indian team.
Queensland pacer Joe Dawes will replace Simons, who has been working with the team since 2010. The decision was taken at BCCI`s Working Committee meeting in Chennai on Monday.
Simons has been under fire since India`s inconsistent bowling show in England and in the four-match Test series in Australia.
