BCCI to create pool of 30 cricketers

New Delhi, June 29: Following Headlines Today’s exposé on Indian cricketers hiding their injuries prior to the World T20 tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally decided to act.

The selection panel, it seems, has recognised the fact that an additional pool of players is necessary to keep up with the pressure of the international cricket calendar.

In fact, sources have confirmed to Headlines Today that selectors have almost reached an agreement with captain M.S. Dhoni and coach Gary Kirsten to create a pool of 30 players.

Headlines Today had reported first that five Indian cricketers hid their injuries prior to the ICC World T20 — a major reason for their flop show in the big event.

Following that, the BCCI immediately issued denials, claiming that the report didn’t really make sense and that no one had hidden injuries.

Evidently though, the BCCI has finally woken up and realised that measures need to be taken to preserve our cricketers.
