New Delhi: Senior BCCI official Rajeev Shukla said that the Indian cricket board was looking into details in connection with the case of assault filed by a woman against leg-spinner Amit Mishra in Bengaluru last week.
“The BCCI is already looking into the matter. We are trying to find out the details of the case. The moment we get details, then at appropriate time an appropriate decision will be taken. We are seized of the matter,” said Shukla, who is the chairman of the Indian Premier League.
Earlier in the day, the 32-year-old bowler was arrested in Bengaluru and was subsequently released on bail.
However, Shukla also said that Mishra would be eligible for selection until the BCCI took a decision.
Mishra is in the India Test squad that will play South Africa in a four-match series, which starts on November 7 in Mohali. (ANI)
