BCCI Annual Awards: Syed Kirmani gets Lifetime Achievement award

New Delhi: Former Indian wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani was on Tuesday awarded with the prestigious Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Indian cricket in the BCCI awards night.

The 66-year-old former Indian cricketer and member of the 1983 World Cup-winning squad was presented the award by BCCI president Shashank Manohar.

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli bagged the Polly Umrigar Trophy for Cricketer of the Year.

The Delhi batsman also shared a photograph on Twitter thanking the cricket board.

“Polly Umrigar award for the 2nd time Thank You @BCCI for finding me worthy of the award. Feeling humbled & grateful,” Kohli said in a tweet.

ODI Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was also greeted by BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur at BCCI Awards function. (ANI)
