Hyderabad, February 14: “My boyfriend is not in the city. So, I have decided to drive down to Nizamabad and surprise him. I have kept in mind the tiniest of details to show him that I love him,” exclaims K Nikitha, an engineering student, who believes that this is a day where people in love go leaps and bounds to express their love.
While some love birds have the privilege of spending the day with their partners, there are some couples who go through the pain of a long distance relationship and miss out on spending some quality time. But technology today has been a boon to them.
“My boyfriend is in London and we simply plan to Skype the whole day and spend it together,” says Shwetha Gupta, who also sent a gift to her loved one all the way there. Some believe in giving surprises while some in gifting something meaningful. “I am going to cook a hopefully edible meal for my girlfriend and if that doesn’t work out, I plan to take her out for a lovely dinner,” says a jovial Ajit, who plans to pretend to his partner he is busy in work and would not be able to give her time.
