Battle of Badar was the first organized fight of Islamic History: Mr. Tariq Muneer

Hyderabad, August 17: Battle of Badar is the first battle of Islamic history which occurred on 17th of Ramazan. It has been mentioned in the Quran as “Youmul-Furquan” (The day of distinction). On this day, a distinction was made between truth and falsehood. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Tariq Muneer, Member of Jamaat-e-Islami in a meeting held at Masjid-e-Azeezia Humayun Nagar.

He said that Islam is the favorite religion of Allah, the Almighty. Allah sent Prophet Mohammed (SAWS). He propagated Islam despite many hurdles. He had to leave his native city Makkah to migrate to Medina where he founded a small Islamic State.

He entered into pacts with the neighbouring Jewish and Christian tribes. Mr. Tariq Muneer said that the battle of Badar is a proof that battles are not fought merely on the strength of the number of soldiers and weapons but they are fought on the basis of faith. In that battle, 313 Muslims gained victory over 1000 infidels. Prophet Mohammed’s (SAWS) prayer was accepted by Allah to save Islam.
