Hyderabad, October 19: Most of the roads in Hyderabad especially in the old city areas have been transformed into potholes and ditches thanks to the negligence of municipality department.
Despite the fact that Government sanctions crores of rupees for the development of the old city no developmental works are witnessed in the area. Even the constructed roads are wrecked by the municipality department and water board by digging them out in the name of inserting water and drainage lines.
Budgets of Lakhs of rupees are allocated for the municipal constituencies of Hyderabad. Even the salaries of newly elected representatives (corporators) have been increased in thousands and each one of them has been provided with laptops but no serious procedure has been adopted to solve the problems faced by the public. The lives of the elderly persons, women and innocent kids are at stake thanks to the battered and potholed streets.
