The venue for distribution of the famous fish medicine for asthma patients by the Bathina brothers, has been changed from the Exhibition grounds, Nampally, to Rajendranagar, opposite ANGRAU, in a five acre land.
The fish medicine will be distributed free of cost on the advent of ‘mrigasira karthi’, on June 8 and 9, and elaborate arrangements were on now for the event. The free distribution of the medicine was started 167 years ago by the great grandfathers of the Bathina brothers. The Medicine has become very popular not only in India, but also in many other countries and patients from far- off places visit the city for the medicine every year.
Laying of approach road to the venue was taken up now and the work is in progress. The state Government had sometime back, allotted the five acre land to the Bathina brothers, in recognition of the services being rendered by them for the asthma patients.
