A basement was recovered during demolition of Dewdi Nawab Mir Zulfiqar-ud-Daula at Ghansi Bazar. Delegation of Forum for Better Hyderabad inspected the place and stalled the construction activities. The delegation also informed ASI and urged the government to construct police quarters on the place after the submission of report by ASI.
After inspection Mr. Veda Kumar declared Hyderabad city as constructional hub of Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi eras. He told that Supreme Court has issued clear orders in this connection and directed to immediately inform State Archaeological Department if anyone finds any historical signs during excavation. Demolition of basement during excavation of Dewdi Nawab Mir Zulfiqar-ud-Daula in the name of construction of police quarters is condemnable, he said.
