New Delhi, September 07: The Election Commission of India on Tuesday announced election schedule for the by-polls to Banswada assembly constituency in Nizamabad district. Banswada seat fell vacant after Pocharam Sirnivas, a Telugu Desam Party MLA resigned from the party and post to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
According to the notification, the voting for Banswada Assembly constituency will be held on October 13. As per the calendar, the election notification will be issued on September 19. The last date for filing of nomination will be September 26 and withdrawal of nominations is September 29.
The counting of votes will be taken up on October 17. According to sources, Pocharam Srinivas might contest on Telangana Rashtra Samithi ticket this time.
